PowerCranker wins Mt. Washington Hill Climb
August 16, 2008. PowerCranker Phillip Gaimon won the annual Mt. Washington Hill Climb in a time of 54' 57", 2 minutes ahead of the next finisher. This was his second race up the mountain in 2 months, coming in second in the Newton's Revenge race 2 months earlier.

PowerCranker excels at Ironman Germany, European Championships
July 6, 2008. PowerCranker Chris McCormack won this years IM Germany against a very tough field and broke 8 hours, again, in the process.

PowerCrankers at Ironman Coeur d'Alene
June 22, 2008. PowerCrankers dominated at IM CDA. 39 yo Tom Evans led from start to finish, coming in with the second fastest bike and run split, the run being a personal best for him. Victor Zyemtzev, who won last year just nipping Tom in the last mile, came in second with the fastest run of the day. Lastly, congratulations to 38 yo Steve Larsen for his 5th place finish in his first IM race coming out of retirement. Steve had the fastest bike split of the day but started to fail towards the end of the run or it looked like PC'ers would have finished 1-2-3.Congratulations to PC'er Peter Cannell for the fastest ITT in the US Masters National Championships. On the 38 km course he clocked the fastest overall time of the day, turning in a mark of 48 minutes, 34.0 seconds to claim the men’s 30-34 national title. Cannell’s mark was more than two minutes faster than his closest opponent!!!

June 8, 2008. Congratulations to PowerCranker Paul Amey for his victory at the Eagleman in a blistering 3:53:33 considering the oppressive conditions. He won Ironman Florida 70.3 in similar fashion onle 3 weeks earlier.

May 25, 2008. Congratulations to PowerCranker Felipe Bastos for winning the second stop of the 2k/60k/15k National Triathlon Series Tour. His managed the fastest splits in all three disciplines. This was the 25th victory of his career.

PowerCranker wins Ironman Florida 70.3.
May 19, 2008. Congratulations to PowerCranker Paul Amey for winning the fifth annual Ironman Florida 70.3, held on and around the grounds of the Disney World theme park. Amey, a two-time ITU world champ used a blistering bike leg to pull away from the field.

PowerCranker 4 out of 4 at Wildflower Triathlon.
May 3, 2008. Congratulations to Chris McCormack for his victory at the WildFlower long course triathlon against a very tough field. This gives him 4 victories in 4 tries and ties him for the most victories in the event with another PowerCranker, Cam Widoff.

PowerCranker takes over KOM jersey in Tour of California sustaining 12.5 w/kg for 30 seconds to do it
April 22, 2008. Congratulations to Frank Pipp for taking over the KOM jersey in the second stage of the Tour of Georgia. He sustained 874 watts for 30 seconds, a whopping 12.5 watts per kg to win the jersey. His power file is available on-line for this ride.

PowerCranker under 3:30 at Boston Marathon on less than 30 mpw run training - a personal best.
April 21, 2008. Congratulations to 51 yo triathlete Dave Campbell for setting a new marathon PR of 3:25:43 at the Boston marathon. His "run" training consists of only about 25 miles per week of actual running and about 80 miles per week commuting on PowerCranks.

PowerCranker wins Ishigaki World Cup
April 13, 2008. Congratulations to PowerCranker and Sydney Olympic Champion Simon Whitfield of Canada, who continues his quest for another Olympic title with a win at the Ishigaki BG Triathlon World Cup today. Whitfield showed a field of top Olympians that he still has kick in his legs to claim his 11th world cup title, in a time of 1 hour 51 minutes and 12 seconds.

PowerCranker excels at London marathon
April 13, 2008. Ryan Hall, a Team Running USA member, ran a 2:06:17 marathon, the fastest marathon by an American in recent memory. This time only netted him 5th place in the fastest marathon ever and will only enhance the anticipation of the Olympic marathon this fall, assuming the air allows the runners to run their best.

PowerCrankers excel at IM Arizona
April 13, 2008. Congratulations to Erika Csomor for her overall victory at IM Arizona. Erika also had the fastest bike split and the fastest run split of the day. 49 year old PowerCranker Jeff Cuddeback came in 14th overall, including the pros. Looks like we can expect Jeff to set another age group course record when he races in Kona as a 50 year old this year. Also, kudos to PowerCranker James Bonney for the finest performance of his career, even though it only netted him a 4th. He missed winning by less than 1:15 and for such a big guy to perform this well in those conditions is amazing.

March 31, 2009. Congratulations to PowerCranker Hayden Godfrey for winning the Omnium at the UCI World Championships in Manchester England. The 29 year-old New Zealand rider dominated the event, winning the scratch race and placing third in the sprint, fourth in the pursuit, fourth in the kilo, and seventh in the points race.

PowerCrankers win again and set course record at IronMan New Zealand
March 1, 2008, Congratulations again to PowerCrankers Cameron Brown and Joanna Lawn for their repeat victories at Ironman New Zealand. This was Brown's 7th victory in this race. Lawn's race was especially notable setting two records, a course record and she is the first athlete to ever win an IM race 6 times in a row.

At the Tour of California
Special congratulations to Levi Leipheimer for his dominating performance in the Time Trial and for his overall victory. Also, congratulations to George Hincapie for his win in the final stage.

Cadel Evans wins stage in only second day of competition this year.
February 18, 2008 , PowerCranker Cadel Evans took the second stage of the Vuelta a Andalucía. His win in just his second day of competition this year, proves the 31 year-old Australian's training during the off-season was not hampered by the many commitments he had with various charities and other functions. It also indicates that his preparation is right on schedule as for his assault on the 2008 Tour de France where he is a noted favourite

January 20, 2008 , PowerCranker's Kenny De Ketele and Tim Mertens won the Madison after lapping the field early in the event. With this win they take over the WC lead for the series.

PowerCranker wins Ironman World Championships in Hawaii
October 13 , 2007, Congratulations to PowerCranker Chris McCormack for winning the Ironman World Championship in Kona Hawaii in a time of 8:15:34 for the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile marathon run. He was solid all the way around with splits of 00:51:48 for the swim, 04:37:31 for the bike, and 02:42:02 for the marathon.

October 13 , 2007, Congratulations to all the age-groupers who qualified for and participated in the Ironman World Championships. Of particular note from the PowerCranks perspective were the 1-2 finish of long-time PowerCrankers Joe Bonness and Gregory Taylor in the 50-54 age group in times of 9:46:36 and 9:50:35 respectively.

Penticton, B.C., Canada - Congratulations to Courtney Ogden for the fastest Bike Split at Ironman Canada. Courtney flew on the bike leg racing on PowerCranks. Courtney had been injured and only ran 8 times in the 6 weeks before the race, He still had the 3rd fastest run of the day ending up 2nd overall.

Seefeld, Germany - Congratulations PowerCranks trained Levi Leipheimer who won the fifth stage of the Tour of Germany on Sunday, a 163km leg between Bad Tolz and Seefeld. At the line, it was the Danish athlete by almost nine minutes from Buenahora with Biscay in third. Australia - Aussie star & PowerCranker Chris McCormack today rewrote the record books by claiming his fifth consecutive Panthers Ironman Australia Triathlon victory, eclipsing the great Pauli Kiuru’s four wins here. On the new Port Macquarie course, McCormack set a time of 8:20:42, winning by seven minutes in what he described as his most satisfying win.
History was also repeated in the women’s event with Canadian PowerCranker Lisa Bentley claiming her fifth consecutive win at Ironman Australia. As in previous years, Bentley came from behind after the bike leg to chase down her rivals, and she finished in a time of 9:19:44, claiming victory by 11 minutes over Belinda Granger and Melissa Ashton. Hamburg, Germany - With less than a kilometer to go PowerCranker Filip Ospaly (Czech Republic), Hug, Kahlefeldt, Reiderer and Gemmel were running shoulder to shoulder towards the finish line. The 10s of thousands in the stadium were reved into a frenzy... In the end it took the competition jury to review television footage to short out that Ospaly had nipped Hug for first. Congratulations to Conrad Stoltz and Melanie McQuaid for their victories at the first Xterra pro series race of the season at Temecula California. BTW, both had the fastest bike splits of the day with Stoltz being over 2.5 minutes faster than second and McQuaid despite a "conservative" effort. Oh, and four of the top six in the GC of the Giro d'Italia are still PC'ers after today's time-trial.

Congratulations to PC'er Raynard Tissink for another dominating Ironman win, this time at IM South Africa. His bike split was under 4:30 (over 7 minutes faster than anyone else) and his run was 2:55:12 (3:30 faster than anyone else) with an overall winning margin of about 16 minutes.

Congratulations to PC'er Geoff Kabush for winning all three events at NORBA #2 at McDowell Mountain Park in Arizona. This was Geoff's 5th win in a row in short track XC.

Congratulations to PC'ers Cam Brown and Jo Lawn for their dominating performances at Ironman NZ. Each won by more than 15 minutes. Cam had the second fastest bike split (4:40:47) and fastest run (2:48:27). Jo had the fastest bike (5:14:51) and the second fastest run (3:19:12). This was the 4th win in a row for Cam and the third for Jo. Cam also broke his own course record in this effort.

Congratulations to PC'er Aaron Robertson for winning the National Snowshoe Championships in Anchorage Alaska. Aaron finished 26th in last years race over 8 minutes off the winning pace. He won this race with about 1 minute over second place person (who came in 3rd the year before)!!! Aaron is a particularly happy camper right now.
